Review - NUXE SUN Delicious Cream for Face SPF 30

Those of you with skin as pale as mine might understand the conundrum I face whenever the sun shows its' face - or, indeed, doesn't; I once got sunburnt on a cloudy day, which I thought was quite an achievement, frankly. I'm always on the lookout for a high SPF face cream which suits my combination/oily/doesn't-quite-know-what-it's-doing skin type, without breaking the bank. And so, whilst having a rather over-enthusiastic browse through Marks & Spencer's beauty hall (there was 20% off and I was absolutely determined to make the most of it), I stumbled upon this little tube from NUXE.

As usual, I didn't really bother reading the box, so completely missed the fact that, apparently, this helps to build up a "sublime tan". After a rather horrific experience with some awful "gradual tan" moisturiser my mum bought a few years ago, and the discovery that, when tanned, I look suspiciously like an oompa loompa, I try my level best to stay away from anything promising a tan. This, however, doesn't seem to have any "bronzing" capabilities - the box says that it "activates the appearance of a natural tan", which I don't have, so it just gives me a lovely healthy, not-at-all-orange glow.

This is a beautiful base for makeup - I use it underneath my LUSH Jackie Oates Skin Tint, which tends to show up any dry patches, and reveal when a moisturiser isn't doing its' job. Happily, this cream seems to alleviate any dry patches of skin, and give a slight "glow" to the skin, which I don't get with my usual SteamCream, but doesn't look glittery in the slightest - and it feels lovely and light on the skin. I've been wearing it on sunny days (the few that we've had here in Britain), and I'm happy to report that I haven't even got slight redness from sitting in the sunshine.

When it's sold at full price, it retails for £16 for 50ml, however, a little goes a very long way, so it does represent pretty good value for money - I'm thoroughly impressed! I got mine from Marks and Spencer's, and they more than often have some rather good offers on their beauty products, so it's well worth having a look around, as there are some great brands available in there.

ABOUT ME:
1. What was your favourite subject in school? Chemistry and Biology - I also have a soft spot for French.
2. What’s your favourite drink? Vodka and lemonade, if we're talking alcohol. If not, raspberry lemonade.
3. Favourite song at the moment? Oh dear... probably Reel Around the Fountain by The Smiths, off the top of my head... but I also love The Irish Rover by The Pogues and The Dubliners, and lots of hymns and other things.
4. What would you name your children? Erin, Nina or Ciara for a girl, William or Sean for a boy. Well, I think, anyway - goodness knows I've spent long enough wondering about it when I should have been working!
5. Do you participate in any sports? I run, but that's about it. I was useless at netball (understatement). I can play rugby, but I don't play in a team - when I have time I'd love to go back to it.
6. Favourite Book? Star of the Sea by Joseph O'Connor. Read it.
7. Favourite Colour? Green!
8. Favourite Animal? Horses or dogs, although I'm actually allergic to both!
9. Favourite perfume? Chanel No. 5 - it's what my nan wore, and I find the scent really soothing.
10. Favourite holiday? Italy - I can't speak Italian, but I intend to learn it and visit Italy again, because it's so beautiful.
11. Have you graduated High School? No - I'll leave in 2015!
12. Have you been out of the Country? Yes - England is a pretty small place, so I've been to quite a few other countries as there's not much to see here! Favourites include Italy, France, Turkey, Ireland and Wales (although it is part of the UK, hmm).
13. Do you speak any other Languages? French (I take A Level French, so I should be able to speak it!), a bit of Welsh (thanks, nan) and some Irish.
14. Do you have any siblings? I have two step brothers, both older than me.
15. What’s your favourite store? H&M... but if I could afford it, Liberty of London!
16. Favourite Restaurant? I'm going to try and be indie here and say that there's a little Italian restaurant in Knightsbridge by Harrods which is absolutely perfect - my mum and I visit it every time we go to London.
17. Did you like school? I loved it - I was a good student up until sixth form, then I moved to another school and decided that I didn't like being told what to do.
18. Favourite YouTubers? Sissy MUA, essiebutton, Shirleybeniang, TheMakeupChair, Charlotte Tilbury, Clisare, Lisa Eldridge and Carly Rowena, to name a few!
19. Favourite Movie? Dallas Buyers' Club. I cry every time.
20. Favourite Tv show? FRIENDS, How I Met Your Mother, Bluestone 42... I'm not much of a TV person, to be totally honest, though.
21. Pc or Mac? PC all the way - I do not, and never will, understand Macs!
22. What phone do you have? A slightly knackered iPhone, which I love and hate in equal measure.

1. What do you order at Starbucks? I hate Starbucks, but we'll save that for a later rant, shall we? I only ever order tea at coffee shops, though; I cannot stand coffee!
2. One thing in your closet you cannot live without? My New Look Vagabond dupes; the love of my life.
3. What’s one thing most people probably don’t know about you? That I can speak Irish. Also that Irish is a language, probably.
4. Name one thing you want to do before you die… I'd love to run a marathon!
5. What’s one food you cannot live without? OATS. In any form.
6. What quote/phrase do you live by? 8. What kind of style would you define yourself as having? I don't actually know - I just sort of chuck together items of clothing. I love mod, hippie and sort of grunge-y styles in particular - it depends on how I feel, what music I'm listening to etc.

10. Two Hobbies? Running and Photography.
