Review - NUXE SUN Delicious Cream for Face SPF 30

Those of you with skin as pale as mine might understand the conundrum I face whenever the sun shows its' face - or, indeed, doesn't; I once got sunburnt on a cloudy day, which I thought was quite an achievement, frankly. I'm always on the lookout for a high SPF face cream which suits my combination/oily/doesn't-quite-know-what-it's-doing skin type, without breaking the bank. And so, whilst having a rather over-enthusiastic browse through Marks & Spencer's beauty hall (there was 20% off and I was absolutely determined to make the most of it), I stumbled upon this little tube from NUXE.

As usual, I didn't really bother reading the box, so completely missed the fact that, apparently, this helps to build up a "sublime tan". After a rather horrific experience with some awful "gradual tan" moisturiser my mum bought a few years ago, and the discovery that, when tanned, I look suspiciously like an oompa loompa, I try my level best to stay away from anything promising a tan. This, however, doesn't seem to have any "bronzing" capabilities - the box says that it "activates the appearance of a natural tan", which I don't have, so it just gives me a lovely healthy, not-at-all-orange glow.

This is a beautiful base for makeup - I use it underneath my LUSH Jackie Oates Skin Tint, which tends to show up any dry patches, and reveal when a moisturiser isn't doing its' job. Happily, this cream seems to alleviate any dry patches of skin, and give a slight "glow" to the skin, which I don't get with my usual SteamCream, but doesn't look glittery in the slightest - and it feels lovely and light on the skin. I've been wearing it on sunny days (the few that we've had here in Britain), and I'm happy to report that I haven't even got slight redness from sitting in the sunshine.

When it's sold at full price, it retails for £16 for 50ml, however, a little goes a very long way, so it does represent pretty good value for money - I'm thoroughly impressed! I got mine from Marks and Spencer's, and they more than often have some rather good offers on their beauty products, so it's well worth having a look around, as there are some great brands available in there.
